How did you come up with the ideas?
I wanted to create a space where people can come in a just be a big kid without judgement, no matter what age they are! I love telling stories in my art, as well as adventures and escape rooms/riddles/puzzles so I figured it would be nice to get like-minded people into a community and just be chill and have fun, create a unique world together.
What Makes this project unique?
Kumo’s world is a world full of fun and adventures, where people can just be silly and be a big kid without being judged. We are 100% community focused and an interactive RPG kind project where we work together as a team to discover Kumo’s world. The fact that Kumo’s world is so mysterious, and we have only discovered a fraction of what the infinite possibilities are, makes it so interesting. There is nothing set in stone, the story around Kumo’s world evolves as the community evolves. A place where everyone is the writer of their own story, which in turn plays a part in the grander scale of things!
How Big is the team and what are their roles?
Currently I am the only fulltime on the project. I have a core team of 6 and 2 helpers who are amazing at managing and moderating the discord when I’m not around.
Team members:
- Gatekeeper: Creator of Kumo’s world and full time on this project
- Devs: front end dev, 1 web3 dev and 1 blockchain dev.
- Writers: Wrote the expedition adventures with me
- Mods: Moderate the channels and engage with the community members as well as write lore pieces as well as help with some tasks around the discord.
- Helpers: Engage with community members
What is the price?
0.06eth There are 9 classes in this collection and each class has its own unique traits making each of them their own collection within the main collection. There are over 380 traits, and each are drawn with care so that they don’t look like they are generated pieces. A lot of thought and hours were put into this to ensure that each piece looked different to the next.

Are there any mechanics we should know about?
We are going to be rolling out KxW coins post reveal.
KxW Coins are ERC-20 tokens which will have utility in Kumo’s World and each Kumo Resident NFT from the Main Collection will allow its holder to claim 3 KxW coins per day. If NFT is sold, unclaimed KxW coins will belong to the new owner.
Coins can also be earned through event participation in Kumo’s World.
All holders will get a bonus of 50% extra KxW Coins to claim daily, for the first month after launch. In addition, holders of the expedition residents will get an initial bonus of 50 KxW coins.
These coins can be used on Kumochis.
What are Kumochis?
Kumochis are cute mystical creatures that you will be able to train and evolve (
similar to Pokemon/Tamagochis). You can use your Kumochis to battle others to win items and KxW Coins. They are not for sale and you can only obtain one by participating in events or by redeeming them once you have collected enough KxW Coins.
Will using KxW Coins to mint Kumochis increase the supply?
Kumochis are not easy to come by. A Kumochi will cost 200+ Coins to mint so users must hold the NFT for 60+ days to accumulate enough coins for minting
Evolving Kumochis?
KxW Coins will be used to evolve Kumochis. Items can be bought with KxW Coins that can alter the genes of a Kumochi to evolve into a specific type. This process removes the need to burn and remint when evolving your Kumochis. Evolving Kumochis will improve their stats which will allow for more abilities in game play.
Just like Kumochis, this is an ever-evolving concept that will continue to be improved with the introduction of new utility over time.
Are Kumochis part of their own collection?
Yes, Kumochis will be in their own collection on Opensesa and on the Ethereum blockchain.
Apart from KxW Coins and Kumochis, are there anything else in your roadmap you’d like to share?
We are planning to release the first Childrens story book NFT as well as physical merch. The storybook will be based on the activities and events that we run in Kumo’s World. This way anyone who participates will be contributing to the story! We have amazingly talented writers which will work with us to create the stories and it will be minted on Polygon and airdropped to anyone holding the Kumo x World NFT. (This is because there is no utility for the Storybook unlike with Kumochis). We are hoping to get some hardcopies printed and these will be raffled off to those who participate in the expeditions
