It appears the Pudgy Penguins project has been been brought back to life. The pudgy penguin community has always been strong, but over the last month there has been a lot of internal and external drama. Without going into all the detail of what happened (It is well documented elsewhere). The project had a few flaws.
- Lack of communication
- Misinformation
- Confusion
This eventually led to Cole being voted out of the organization.
In an overwhelming response from the respondants Cole left the organization. Meanwhile, one of the biggest hodlers of the project 9x9x9eth was very vocal about their disappointment with how the project was being handled. Candidly, 9x9x9eth may be one of the most important figures in the space. They hold nearly 250 Pudgy Penguins and have spent nearly 1000 ETH on the project. Instead of pumping their bags, they continued to hold the project accountable.
Many projects and influencers including Beanie and Tungsten DAO offered large amounts of ETH to take over the project and try to fix the damage that had been done. After backing out, it looked like all was lost for the team until an announcement was released on twitter by the pudgy penguin team.

It appears that a new contract is being written that will allow new ownership to port over the penguins to a new contract and fully removing the legacy pudgy penguin team from all future rights to anything related to the Pudgy Penguin Project.
