What is the project launch date?
The project already started on 24th of June. The release of new creatures happens every week!
How did you come up with the idea for this project?
Watching animated movies since I was young, and seeing all the different worlds represented there and all the different art styles, made me want to create my own world and invite people to join the ride! Finally NFTs gave me that chance, and seeing people changing this world with me is amazing!
What Makes this project unique?
I believe it is the possibility of the collector to combine different combinations of creatures and create unique ones. The collector has the power to decide what is created based on what he collects ! Also all the different mechanics that we talk about further in the interview, like the Halons.
How Big is the team and what are their roles?
At this moment I’m the only one creating the art pieces and marketing the project. On discord, I have BIG help handling the things around there from these two amazing human beings : @fccview and @DoxiaStudio!
What is the price?
The price always starts at 0.05ETH. Usually the drops happen with 3 creatures instabuy drops for 0.05 ETH, 1 auction house for 1 rare creature and 1 more auction house for those that didn’t have the chance to get any. We are now discussing how to start raffling some creatures, to avoid gas wars.
Why is that price fair?
I always wanted to keep the project accessible to newcomers into the NFT collections. With this, keeping pieces in raffles for 0.05ETH makes this possible. Despite this, I also hold auctions for some creatures for those who didn’t have the chance to pick one and are willing to go for it! So with this method, I believe we can bring all kinds of collectors : newcomers and older ones.
What is the Mint Size?
There’s no limit in terms of mint size, since the breeding and the halons features will keep the process of creating new creatures indefinitely. Also, this world of AlfdenWorld is huge and the lore keeps growing, so there will be no limit in mind.
Are there any mechanics we should know about?
We have a couple of different mechanics in AlfdenWorld! The Eggs , The Halons and The Breeding :
– The Eggs : AlfdenWorld is filled with super rare creatures, and they come with different kinds of events called “Eggs”! Eggs will appear from time to time.Usually they drop 1 per week.
The moment they hatch, an event will start based on the type of the Egg( you will see the creature when the Egg hatches :
BLUE EGG: giveaway to a random AlfdenWorld creature holder;
RED EGG: AlfdenWorld creatures have their own alphabet and their own challenges. A message will appear, and who discovers the meaning of it, will get the egg. This Red Eggs can also come in visual or sound challenges;
RAINBOW EGG: An egg will be in auction for 24 hours. The highest bidder takes the egg.
Also, some creatures will only come in Eggs.
– The Halons : With this feature, you are able to give life to Unique new creatures!
Only 4 Halons will ever exist! All of these Halons are related to the different elements.
- Only one use of Halon per Species (EX: if you use the fire Halon in a Nonk, you’ll get an Unique Fire Nonk, and that will be the only Fire Nonk ever existed );
- New species are coming to AlfdenWorld. Even if you use your Halon in a Nonk, you can still use it in another species, and create a new unique creature!
- All Halons, when they appear, will be in auction for 48 hours. The highest bidder gets the Halon!
These rare creatures give the collector the ability to create something super unique in AlfdenWorld. Though, they should be used wisely, since each collector can only use each Halon one time per species.
– The Breeding : The creatures of AlfdenWorld can breed, between the same species, creating unique new creatures!
. 2 Rare creatures can create 1 Epic Creature;
. 2 Epic creatures can create 1 Legendary Creature;
What will come in the future of Alfden World ?
I want to bring the AlfdenWorld community to the physical world too! Some ideas in mind are, board games, video games and figurines. Since the project is in an early stage, all this ideas will come with time and with the growth of the community!
