Ethertulips are a sweet and savage little collection. They entered the nft scene at the beginning of 2018 and had a few surprises in store. The Tulips were adorable, and they would also have the ability to battle each other. They also began as seeds and would turn into tulips. So fun.

24 hours after the launch, over 4,000 tulips were minted out of the 5,200 supply, noting buyers from 64 countries. The battle utility would be announced that February. They also offered a feature in which you could send tulips directly to a friend. A 2D metaverse style “garden” was also released.

Battles would take place based on the attributes of the tulips shown in their metadata. The stats reveal 6 areas including Damage, Armor, Strength, Agility, Intelligence, and Health. These are then ranked by numbers (0-100) and an average is reached. The Tulips would then be used in gameplay on the battlefield on the project’s gaming platform. In 2021, EtherTulips launched their own Garden containing 2,500 plots to grow and manage your flowers. These plots are tradable on their own as NFTs, and you can plant or uproot 1 tulip on each plot as often as you’d like.

Today, Ether tulips is still thriving and has migrated their previous contract to the ERC-721 standard token. The project has launched newer tulips as well as a Valentines special launch, and all generations are still actively traded on Opensea with an average floor price of around .06 for the Gen 0.
